One-day tour to Mtskheta

Mtskheta is an amazing town, which was the capital of Georgia till 5th century. One of the most ancient monasteries of Georgia are in Mtskheta.

 We suggest you to visit the men's monastery Jvari, which was built in the 6th century and which is situated on a mountain joint under merge of two rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. 

 Further we will go to the Cathedral Svetitskhoveli, which was built at the beginning of 11th century, which is one of the main Georgian Orthodox churches. Church Svetitskhoveli is unique by its history. All imperial sort and the most important Lord's tunic are based here. 

 After Svetitskhoveli we will go to the women's monastery Samtavro. Tsar Mirian and Queen Nana are based here. They were the first, who adopted Christianity at the state level. Aged man Gabriel is also based on the territory of monastery, who esteems in the Community of Saints.
